There is also a copy of the 1923 manuscript History of the State Normal School by E. S. Sell and a textbook used by Mrs. Willingham's father while a student at the school in 1895.

S. Eugene Younts papers consists of administrative files that date from 1967 to 2011. These files are directly related to Younts daily work activities. Series two focuses on the new faculty tours that Younts created and led from 1977 to 1999. There are numerous photographs and slide included in this series. Series three, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation files, dates from 1977 to 1992. This part of the collection highlights the University of Georgia projects that the Foundation helped fund during those years. The fourth series, subject files, holds mainly Younts' speech, research and book materials from the 1950s through 2012. The fifth series consists of appointment calendars with Younts' daily activities noted. These calendars date from 1970 to 1999.

The main collection consists of 14 sheets of white paper each approximately seven feet long. They are divided into five chronological groups according to the period when they were posted and each group is stored in its own map storage box. Most of the remarks and graphics on the sheets have been recorded with felt-tip marker or pen. In some cases other pieces of paper were taped to the sheets, as were the title sheets placed on each banner by Student Activities. Photographs, news clippings and other items are stored in an accompanying manuscript box.

The collection represents the contributions of the Snyders and their daughter, Cherie, through papers, publications, awards, artifacts and images. In addition to documenting their work, many of the materials offer a unique view of life in contemporary Africa and the efforts of agricultural extension and development in the Northwestern part of that continent. Many of the artifacts were created by artisans from around the world, from Tifton to Ouagadougou, and given to the Snyders in thanks for their efforts promoting international development projects. These materials were displayed in conjunction the Darl Snyder Lecture in 2004. At that time the Snyders toured the exhibit with Dr. Lioba Moshi, Director of the UGA African Studies Institutes. A transcription of their remarks regarding the significance or history of various artifacts can be found in folder 20 of box 1. In addition we have placed their comments with the description of items in the list below, identifying the speaker by their initials, D.S. or F.S. for Darl or Florence Snyder.

The collection chiefly consists of bound volumes of Preston's correspondence and various reports relating to the development of the post-war tobacco industry in Georgia. Reports and correspondence have often been intermingled within a bound volume. Because the collection reflects daily activities so thoroughly, it provides a unique view of the operations of Mr. Preston's office during an important phase in agricultural modernization in the state. Through its pages one can see how the agricultural work of the Coastal Plain Experiment Station, as documented in the book The UGA Coastal Plain Experiment Station...The First 75 Years by Max Bass, was carried to practicing farmers and the tobacco industry.

The John E. Drewry Papers reveal Drewry as a reporter, author, student, instructor, dean, and dean emeritis through correspondence, notes, manuscripts, photographs, and clippings. Located within Drewry's papers are unique insights into the world of magazine and newpaper publishing in America during the mid-twentieth century. There are copies of many of Drewry's lectures and speeches plus documentation of his involvement in organizations such as the Georgia Scholastic Press Association and the Georgia Collegiate Press Association. Additionally Drewry's involvement with the Peabody Awards from their inception in 1940 is represented through correspondence and photographs. Box 15 includes a folder of personal correspondence from 1931-1937 regarding Kathleen Drewry. These letters have been photocopied from originals in ms 3271 and have been added to this accession for the information they add regarding Drewry's life.

While the Jenkins Club decided to keep no minutes, these records give insight into its operations over the years. Dr. Payne's own manuscript in folder one gives the history of the organization and career information about many of its members. Folder two also contains a wealth of information about the careers of several members. Apparently it was the practice of the club to send a collection of research published by members to new members for review. Folder 4 contains a selection of articles sent to member Dr. Thomas Dyer.
