Georgia State society of Washington plaque: 19 x 12 inch deep mahogany plaque laminated with acrylic and mounted by two 7 inch diameter gold medallions. The one on the left has the shield of the United States of America in color and with motto. The seal on the right is that of the state of Georgia and is done in black on a gold background. On the back to hang it by is a gold twisted cord. A brass plate centered on the bottom front reads: "Senator Richard B. Russell for long and distinguished service to the state of Georgia and to the nation presented by Georgia State Society of Washington, D.C. September 16, 1967."
