Unlike the usual office organization plan of reverse chronological order, the Speech/Media files are by title alphabetically. Some folders in this series include outlines, revisions and/or other preparation notes. Others include correspondence and programs in regards to the occasion of the speech. There is a folder of press releases and one of speeches by others.

- Before material from collections at the Richard B. Russell Library may be quoted in print, or otherwise reproduced, in whole or in part, in any publication, permission must be obtained from (1) the owner of the physical property, and (2) the holder of the copyright.
