Series I. Commissioner's Oversight Committee documents the closures of the Brook Run Center for the Mentally Retarded in 1997 and the Georgia Mental Health Institute in 1998. Bowling was appointed as Chair of the Committee in 1996 by the Director of the Department of Human Resources, Tommy Olmstead. Materials include correspondence, reports, meeting notes, and agendas that date from 1996 to 1998.
