Abstract Or Scope:

The collection consists of dozens of toy theater sheets with colorful characters and sceneries. Some of the characters are from Der Froschkönig, Bruderchen und Schwefterchen, Die Reise um die Erde in achtzig Tagen, Kalif Storch von Bagdad, Die Jungfrau von Orleans; and scenery includes tents, castles, stormy seas, palaces, churches, holiday scenes, et cetera. J.F.S.i.E is printed on the right hand corner of most sheets. Nr. and Nro. stands for Number, and the actual number is the sheet's number for production and sale.

The collection consists of a transcript of the proceedings to incorporate the Georgia Company, a company organized "to purchase, acquire and hold or guarantee or endorse the bonds or stocks of any railroad company in this or an adjoining state ..." The company was to be located in High Point, Guilford County, North Carolina. The proceedings are dated May 30, 1887, and the incorporators' names are D. Schenck, Samuel H. Wiley, and Thomas B. Keogh. The transcript of the proceedings is dated May 31, 1887, sealed by Albert A. Holton, Clerk of Superior Court of Guilford County.

The collection consists of documents pertaining to the estate of Theodore G. Sledge. Sledge died leaving behind six enslaved men and women, Maria, Lucinda, Spencer, Hester, Minerva, and Francey, and fifteen hundred and thirty six dollars of Confederate currency. Several family members sought legal action, but the case was dismissed in November 1864.

The collection consists of one typescript: The revival of the Ku Klux Klan, by Frank McCallister, dated June 1940, 15 pages, outlining the development and revival of the Ku Klux Klan. Includes newspaper clippings and editorial cartoons about the Klan from 1937-1940. The text was for an anti-Klan pamphlet issued by the Workers Defense League to "aid the campaing to make secure our Bill of Rights; help extend our democracy ot embrace Southern mill workers adn Negroes."
