The collection consists of stereographs of images of Egypt. Also included is a stereograph of three people with leprosy sitting on the ground outside the city of Jerusalem.

Biographical / historical:

The stereoscope allowed two images to be viewed as one image in order to create a three-dimensional illusion. The firm Underwood and Underwood created travel series of stereoscopic views that allowed the viewer to take a visual tour of a foreign place. The stereoscopes were images of people, historic sites, cities, landscapes, industry, and agriculture.
