Scope and content:

This collection contains letters from Captain Guy York to his wife while he was stationed in Vietnam from 1966-1967. It also includes a small number of photographs and a newsletter from his time overseas.

Biographical / historical:

Dr. Guy P. York served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-1987, retiring as a Colonel. Among other duties, he served during the Vietnam War carrying out a mission called Project Turnkey, building an air base in Tuy Hoa, Vietnam in 1966-1967.
