Biographical / historical:

Asbury Churchwell Latimer (1851-1908) was a U.S. House Representative and U.S. Senator from South Carolina, serving from 1893 until his death in 1908. He married Alice Brown and they had 5 children, William Carroll, Maime Brown (Heard), Anna Beulah (Cuthbert), Olive Young (Patten), and Sara Alice "Sallie" (Watson).

Robert C. Watson (1890-1983) was a patent lawyer and was appointed commissioner of patents by President Eisenhower in 1953. He was married to Sara Alice Latimer, and their children were Alice (Faulkner), Olive (Cobb), and Robert jr..
