This collection contains legal and real estate documents, photographs, clippings, scrapbooks and ephemera regarding Galis and Ecomony family history, as well as correspondence and business records. A large portion of the correspondence and business notebooks are in Greek.

Anthony Dennis "Tony" Galis (1901-1965) and Steve Vacalis created and ran Tony's Restaurant on East Clayton Street in downtown Athens, Georgia. He married Yota Economy (1911-2002) in 1934 and had three children, Dennis C., Leon, and Costa Galis.
Charles George Economy, born Kyriacos Kyriacopoulos (1878-1942) was born in Patra, Geece. He immigrated to the United States in 1897, and was an Atlanta businessman, holding positions in the Blue Seal Ice Cream, Liberty Soda Co., Fulton Bakery, and Economy Laundry. His wife Mary (1888-1925) came to the United States with four of their children in 1916. Their children were George, Yota, Helen, Leon, and Georgia Ecomony.
